Why so much science?

Your degree programme will consist of approx. 25% natural science subjects, simply because this will make you a better engineer. Period.

Since pre-industrial times, engineers have been frontrunners in technological developments. With their solid technical insight and deep theoretical understanding, they have bridged the gap between research and reality.

Engineering is simply based on science, and therefore you need to understand science to be a good engineer who can develop technical solutions taking into account the laws of nature and physics.

Aarhus University has the strongest scientific environment of all universities in Denmark. Naturally, we will take full advantage of this by incorporating this environment in your engineering degree programme – through courses, collaborative project work and your study network.
